Job purpose |
Remote drivers deliver road transport services with long periods away from base or home and often working self-autonomously on behalf of an employer or a customer. As the remote driver is often working away for extended periods, they are expected to work more independently than other drivers. |
Main activities |
Being responsible for delivering goods or passengers on a single route or a multiple drop route, in either a short or long period of time. The work can include load consolidation, backfill running, prescribed passenger routes and multidrop deliveries |
