Platonning workers oversee the autonomous system on board a truck or a bus, to take control for the start and end of the journey and maintain awareness of faults and warnings during transit.
Main activities
Being responsible for the autonomous vehicle during times of platooning activity, taking manual control of the vehicle at the start and end of the journey, recognising warnings or faults in the system which require intervention, being responsible for load safety, customer service and paperwork
